About this website

This site is managed using the Drupal open-source Content Management System, as implemented by Jonathan Pittock at  Cambridge Webworks .  College officers and staff own and edit their content directly. Section editors include: Harry Baker, Boriana Boneva, Marilyn Dowling,  Katy Edgcombe, Wendy Evans, Pam Halpin,  Frances Hazlehurst, Rachel Hill, Felicity MacDonald-Smith, Rachael Padman and Ute Stock. Many other members of the College provided documents, pictures and other input.

The aesthetic design was developed by Cambridge New Media, in collaboration with the Newnham College design group (Patricia Hodgson, Penny Hubbard, Pam Hirsch).  Ian DuQuesnay, Katy Edgcombe and Rachael Padman were responsible for the site specification, information design, management of the implementation, and general technical gofer-ing.

The website operates under CentOS and is hosted on a Citrix virtual server , running Apache, PHP and MySQL. Ervito Vallega and Da Xing set up the hardware and keep it working.

This website displays best when anti-aliasing font rendering is enabled.  On PCs running Windows, anti-aliasing is provided through the ClearType fonts --  instructions for enabling ClearType are provided here.  Most Macs should already have anti-aliasing enabled.
