However, once applications have arrived, we will then only be able to communicate with the applicants concerned. We will send emails and letters concerning the application (e.g. about interview arrangements, tests, decisions and outcomes) directly to the applicants, with copies to their schools or colleges.
Once decisions have been made, we provide feedback on unsuccessful applications if we receive a request before 31 January. If you have given permission (in the data protection form you submitted when you applied) for feedback to be supplied to your UCAS referee, please ask her/him to contact the College Admissions Office. We prefer to send feedback to applicants’ schools or colleges, because we feel that teachers are best placed to put the information in context. If you are no longer at school or college, we are happy to send feedback to you directly – please write to us and ask for this. We regret that, due to the Data Protection Act, we are unable to engage in any discussion with parents, unless we have the written permission of the applicants concerned. In the case of formal complaints, we follow the University’s complaints procedure. Copies are available on request.
