College Open Days

Attending an Open Day is one of the best ways to get a feel for the College and learn about life studying and socialising here.  Please note that as Newnham is a women’s college, these events are for women only.

We run several Open Days throughout the year, and take part in the University’s wider Open Days each July.  These open days are primarily aimed at sixth-form students who are considering applying to Cambridge and would like to know more about the University, the Colleges, courses available, and the admissions process.

Travel arrangements

Maps and directions can be found here.

Open Day Travel Fund

The University of Cambridge has established a travel fund to enable children in (or previously in) care to travel to Open Day events organised by the University and Colleges of Cambridge. Further information is available on the University website.

Parents/Guardians

We are keen to meet as many prospective applicants as we can through our Open Days, which unfortunately means that we are unable to include parents and guardians in the main programme. However, our events include parent/guardian-specific sessions, and parents and guardians are welcome to explore the College grounds.
