Telephone campaign

Newnham runs an annual telephone campaign to keep up to date with what alumnae around the world are doing as well as to raise funds to provide much-needed support for students and Senior Members. Each year we produce a Case for Support to highlight those projects and funds that are particularly important.

Telephone Campaign 2011

This year’s Telephone Campaign set a new record; alumnae very generously gave £252,000 which is a fantastic amount and for which we are very grateful indeed. 72% of the alumnae we spoke to chose to make a gift. The process is of enormous benefit to the individual student as well as to the College: to obtain an internship or job now invariably involves a telephone interview before students can get their foot in the door for a face-to-face interview and a number of our callers said how valuable they found the telephone experience. We had lots of positive feedback from alumnae – thank you.

“To me the telephone campaign seems like a winner for us all: for me it is a wonderful opportunity to take a moment out of the hectic whirl of my present daily life, to reflect upon the path that brought me here and of course to indulge in some shameless nostalgia.
