"You can generally get involved with whatever you want in Cambridge, but having the Old Labs performance space in your own back garden is an opportunity it's hard not to use." Daisy Allsop

Get involved!

Jane Morris We are the Roll Committee and we are seeking to "keep the alumnae in contact with one another and with Newnham College in order to provide friendship and support, to promote Newnham College and assist its development".

The Roll Committee is a group of volunteers, elected by members of the Roll, who meet to organise activities and events to keep members in touch with one another and with College. Our aim is to keep the Newnham Network and Community healthy and strong across the generations. Please see our Committee leaflet for the details about each member.

The Roll and Development Office keeps alumnae in touch with one another and with College. The Roll Committee supplements and supports its work. The Roll Committee works with the office to help organise, on a voluntary basis, events at Newnham and also all over the country. You can find details about local group activities here.

Every member of the Roll is important to us. We can all celebrate that shared experience of being in Newnham even if we’ve had many different experiences since. If you have any suggestions for initiatives that the Committee could undertake, email me at: newnhamrollpresident@gmail.com

If you'd like to help, put your name forward for the Committee! Members serve for three years and can be re-elected for a second term. There are two meetings a year in College, one at Commemoration and one at the Alumni Weekend. College provides us with lunch in College Hall - Clough Hall, and a room can be provided for the night for alumnae who travel from a long distance.
