VLM Advisory and Africa Integrity

Alumna: Victoria Mackay (NC 2008, History)

Opportunity: Immediate intern vacancy for undergraduate/graduate with a keen interest in the political and commercial environments across the Middle East and Africa.

The role is to provide research and administrative assistance to two private international intelligence consultancies, which cover the Africa and Middle East regions respectively. The consultancies are co-located and the successful applicant would be based at their central London offices.

This is an opportunity to play a part in the expansion of two companies in an exciting and challenging sector. Duties would include: geo-political analysis of the regions in question, production of written reports for clients, some management of intelligence sources, and assistance with a range of administrative tasks, all of which would aid the candidate considerably in achieving a deeper understanding of the sector.

Organisation: Quartix, a leading supplier of vehicle tracking systems, software and services

Opportunity: Immediate vacancy for a full-time Marketing Analyst based in central Cambridge. This role is a good opportunity to develop experience in marketing, data analysis, international business and project management.

The analyst is accountable for sourcing sales leads for the US team, predominantly through partnerships. She will research target industries and potential partners to identify and prioritise opportunities. The analyst will also assist in development and delivery of sales and marketing promotions, as well as analysing effectiveness to focus future marketing campaigns and investments. Her insight will have significant impact on commercial decisions for the US market, and the analyst will have regular exposure to directors within the business.

Requirements: Positive attitude and independent drive, proven research skills, data analysis experience, collaborative approach to working, strong oral and written communication skills.
