Facilities at Newnham

Mail/Messages and Internet/Email

Mail for delegates is placed in pigeonholes at the Porters Lodge.  Messages may be left for residents at the Porters’ Lodge (01223 335700). There is wireless internet connection in the Buttery. To obtain a password for this facility, please contact the Conference & Events Co-ordinator on 01223 335803.

Laundry

Coin-operated washing machines and tumble-dryers are available in certain areas of the College. There are ironing facilities on each floor either in the kitchens or in a drying room.

Sports Facilities

The sports field and tennis courts are available for use. For further details please contact the Conference & Events Co-ordinator on 01223 335803 or conference@newnham.cam.ac.uk.  Note that equipment cannot be provided.

Medical Facilities

Medical cover is arranged by the College with local General Practitioners. Should medical attention be needed the Porters' Lodge are able to give contact numbers.

Fire & Safety Precautions

Please ensure your delegates are made aware of the fire exits. There is a notice about this in all of the rooms. If the fire alarm rings, the buildings must be vacated immediately.
