Location

Newnham’s location in central Cambridge is a key reason for holding your event at the College: belied by the tranquillity of the large grounds and gardens, Newnham College is just 5 minutes from the M11, and a 10 minute stroll into the city centre.

Newnham is situated just five minutes’ drive from Junction 12 of the M11; limited parking is available on site and parking facilities nearby can be arranged through the Conference Office. The College is a short taxi ride from the train and bus stations.

It is a pleasant 10-minute stroll into the city centre of Cambridge with its historic sites, shops, the famous “Backs” along the river and other places to enjoy. The College is just across the road from the Arts and Humanities lecture theatres (which can seat up to 400) and libraries, and near many of the other University Departments.

A Google map is below; you may also want to look at the official University Map, which shows all Colleges and Departments and can be zoomed in to the level down to the level of individual building names and entrances, cycle parking and so on.  See also the plan of the College.
