TEDxNewnham Screening in Manchester: Saturday 12 May 2018

Manchester Association of Cambridge University Women (MACUW) is holding a TEDxNewnham event for all Newnhamites and would love to see as many of you as possible.

TEDxNewnham involves a series of short, powerful talks on the theme of EMBRACING CHALLENGE. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design and the talks cover a wide range of subjects ranging from how to get your life back after breaking your neck, to gender diversity and whether retirement is a false goal.

TEDxNewnham was a resounding success on the day in Cambridge and we are delighted that Newnhamites in the North will be able to watch some of the talks together. As well as watching a selection of the talks we will have a discussion about the theme and the messages that they convey.

The event will be held at Oldham Hulme Grammar School, which is easily reached from the M60, M62, A627(M) and A62, so we hope that, as well as alumnae from the North West, those in West Yorkshire and others may also wish to attend.

For more details and booking please contact Helen Wright (NC 1962) on h.e.wright@btinternet.com (MACUW’s representative on the Newnham Roll Committee).
