Biography

Judy Quinn studied English at the University of Melbourne before doing her PhD on Old Norse literature at the University of Sydney. She came to Newnham when she joined the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse & Celtic in 2000.

Research Interests

Old Norse eddic and skaldic poetry; the valkyrie in Old Norse poetry; Old Norse saga literature; orality and literacy in medieval Scandinavia; theory and praxis in the editing of Old Norse texts.
