Newnham Geographers gathered together on Saturday 7 May to celebrate all that Lucy Adrian has done for Geography at Newnham, meet the current students, catch up with old friends and make new connections. This was a unique opportunity for our current students to hear from alumnae about the paths they had taken following reading the subject. Professor Maggie Pearson (Yorke), NC 1971, was the after lunch speaker. Maggie was until recently Pro Vice Chancellor (Public Benefit) and Dean of Health and Social Care at the University of Salford, where she set up and led the Salford Institute for Dementia of which she was Director. She reminisced on the topic of How was it for you? What Newnham, Lucy and Geography did for me.
