Casual Lodge Porter

Newnham College wishes to appoint a friendly, helpful and reliable Casual Lodge Porter.

The Porters’ Lodge is the focus of much activity that is important to all members of the College. The successful applicant will be required to carry out a wide range of security and office duties. The successful applicant will be conscientious, have good communication skills, be computer literate and be able to relate well to others.

The Casual Porter role is on an ad hoc basis. There is no fixed shift pattern; the role is intended to be used to cover staff absences (sickness / training / annual leave).
The successful applicant will need to be very flexible and aware that shifts may change at short notice. However, the College will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible of any changes.

The shifts will include nights and weekends on a regular basis where needed.
