Salary £28,098 – £31,604 depending on experience.
Newnham College wishes to appoint a full-time Development Officer to plan, organise and run a successful Annual Fund, including the annual Telephone Campaign.
We are looking for someone who is eager to join our team which generates one of the highest alumnae participation rates across the University. The right person will be enthused by our aim to increase our highest ever participation rate of 24%.
This is a particularly exciting period as the College is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Roll in 2018 and has secured a licence to run a TEDxNewnham in February which will be live streamed around the world to its alumnae. In conjunction with this we are working to get 100 new donors for the 100th anniversary and we are looking for someone with the creativity and drive to make this happen.
The successful applicant will be a graduate with excellent communication and organisational skills and strong attention to detail. We are keen for the Development Officer to undertake face to face visits, with a view to encouraging existing small-to-medium sized donors to increase their gifts. This would particularly suit a candidate who has run telephone campaigns and is looking to develop their fundraising experience.
You will report to the Deputy Development Director but the Development Director enjoys working closely with and mentoring all the members of her team.
Further particulars and an application form can be found below. Please demonstrate in the application form how you meet the essential requirements of the role found in the Person Specification. If you would like to talk to someone informally about this role, please contact the Deputy Development Director, Fran Rose, on 01223 335749.
Applications, which should include the application form and a covering letter, should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by 9am on Monday 15 January 2018. Applicants should also complete an Equal Opportunities Form and return this to the HR Advisor (email@example.com) separately.
Short-listed candidates will be invited for interview on Wednesday 24 January 2018.
