Newnham College wishes to appoint a full-time General Maintenance Operative. The Maintenance Department is the focus of much activity that is important both to the daily life of the College and to the perception of the College by visitors and conference guests. It is important that the Maintenance Department maintain the highest standards possible consistent with service required and the resources available.
The General Maintenance Operative will assist with works required by the Buildings Manager/ Assistant Buildings Manager, in providing a high standard of service regarding repairs to the fabric of the College Buildings; at all times complying with establish procedures for standards of work and health and safety working practices. He/she will carry out maintenance tasks, report faults and problems, verbally and in writing, and provide general support as directed by the Buildings Manager/ Assistant Buildings Manager.
You will be conscientious with good communication skills and have general maintenance experience.
