First of all, congratulations to everyone on your hard work, learning and development over the past two years at college or school.
Whatever your exam results may be, from happy surprise to disappointment, what matters most is that your studies are rewarding, and that you continue to enjoy learning.
I have got my results and met my Newnham College offer. What do I do now?
That’s great news, and you don’t need to do anything today. However, in the next day or two, you will receive a letter and pack of information from us with various information about arriving in October.
Please read the pack carefully and make sure you return any necessary forms by the stated deadlines. If your mailing address is in the UK/EU, you will receive the pack by post and if your mailing address is overseas, you will receive the pack by email.
We’re looking forward to having you join the Newnham community. Meanwhile, why not follow us on Instagram?
I have got my results and have just missed my offer. What do I do now?
Please email our admissions team (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your full name, UCAS Personal ID, subject and explain what the offer conditions were and what grades and marks (where available) you have received. A smartphone picture of your marks is fine in the first instance, to be followed up by hardcopy confirmation if requested.
I have got my results, not met my offer but am getting a re-mark on a subject.
Please email our admissions team (email@example.com) with your full name, UCAS Personal ID, subject and indicating the A Level subject(s) for which you are getting re-marks. Once you have received your re-marks, please send them as a scanned copy by email to the admissions team – a smartphone picture of your re-marks is fine in the first instance, to be followed up by hardcopy confirmation if requested.
I applied in October and wasn’t made an offer. Do you have any spare places at Newnham College?
The only people who can be reconsidered at this stage are the people eligible for UCAS Adjustment at Cambridge. If you are eligible for Cambridge’s UCAS Adjustment process, you will have had a letter in February from Dr Sam Lucy, Director of Admissions for the Colleges.
I applied in October and wasn’t made an offer. Can I enter UCAS Adjustment?
If you meet the criteria for UCAS Adjustment at Cambridge, Dr Sam Lucy, Director of Admissions for the Colleges, will have written to you in February to advise you.
If you did receive a letter from Dr Sam Lucy about UCAS Adjustment at Cambridge, go to the University’s UCAS Adjustment webpage for instructions on how to enter Adjustment for Cambridge.
There is a tight window to enter Adjustment for Cambridge which is 08:00 – 13:00 (BST) on Thursday 15 August. If you miss this, you are not able to enter Adjustment for Cambridge. Don’t forget to register for Adjustment at UCAS as well!
I was made an offer by a different College but didn’t meet the offer and my application has been made unsuccessful . Can I be considered for a place at Newnham through the Summer Pool?
No, if your application has been made unsuccessful then you will not be placed into the Summer Pool by your ‘offer College’ so cannot be considered by any other Colleges.
