2020 BAME Conference for Women & Girls

Newnham’s annual BAME Conference provides an exciting opportunity for female students in Year 12 from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds to explore student life at Newnham College, part of the University of Cambridge.

  • The morning will consist of talks about the admissions process given by Dr Sam Lucy (Director of Admissions), open to both Year 12 attendees and their guardians.
  • Alongside this, there will be opportunities throughout the day to hear from and talk to current Newnham students about their experiences at the College and at the University of Cambridge more widely.
  • In the afternoon, there will be an opportunity for attendees to meet with representatives from a range of cultural societies to give an insight into the non-academic side of Cambridge.
  • The day will run from 10.15 to 16.30.
  • Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.
