We’re delighted to say that the second Senior Members’ Research Forum of the term will be sociologist Dr Asiya Islam, who will be joining us live from India to talk about her research.
Dr Asiya Islam is well known for her work on gender, class and work in urban India.
The talk will be open to all Newnham students and alumnae as well as members of the SCR (advance registration may be necessary). The talk will be held using the College Zoom account; members of the College will be sent details of how to register and attend nearer to the time. The convenor of the SMRF is Dr Caroline Lanskey, University Lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
