Lunchtime Recital: Ben Smith

Ben Smith (b.1996) is a composer and pianist whose influences range from American minimalism and jazz to a variety of experimental music genres. Born in Tokyo and now living in Kent, he has worked extensively with electronic music and electro-acoustic composition, and has had his works performed in various venues around Cambridge. In addition to writing music, he also plays jazz piano in several bands in Cambridge. Ben is currently doing an MPhil in Composition at Pembroke College under the tutelage of Richard Causton.

In this recital, Ben performs his own work composed for Piano and Electronics.
