The Newnham Associates are hosting their annual CV Workshop. This is a great opportunity to meet with alumnae who have established their careers in their respective fields and ask for advice, guidance and anything you think that might help you with preparing your CV, and prepping you for interviews.
The day will consist of a lunch with the Associates in College Hall (1pm-2pm), followed by coffee with the Associates in the Cynthia Beerbower Room (2pm-2:30pm), and then the CV Workshop in the Cynthia Beerbower Room (2:30pm-5:00pm). Your place at lunch will be paid for by the Associates. You can pick and choose which parts of the day you would like to attend on the form below.
The CV Workshop sessions are 30 minutes and aim to help you with:
- One-to-one interview practice, with interview tips and feedback
- CV reviews and help with drafting
- Thinking through competency-based interview responses
- Advice from experienced interviewers
To book a 30 minute slot with an Associate, please complete the form below. Places and time slots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Please state the subject you are studying and the employment sectors you might pursue. Bring a copy of your CV, and any job adverts or applications which interest you. Students will be paired with an Associate who best matches their professional field of interest.
Participants in previous years have often stayed in touch with the Associate they met at the workshop, and have built an ongoing mentoring relationship. The Newnham Associates are here to help you – make the most of it!
