Transforming Lives: the women behind Save the Children

Join us for a celebration of Dorothy Buxton and Eglantyne Jebb, the women who faced arrest and criticism to found Save the Children.

Guest speakers, Dr Peta Dunstan and Clare Mulley, biographers of Buxton and Jebb respectively, will speak about these remarkable women.

Dorothy Buxton was a student at Newnham College, and Eglantyne Jebb worked closely with Newnham College members in her pioneering social work in Cambridge.

The event will begin with drinks at 5.15pm and an opportunity to visit Newnham College’s celebrated gardens, before the event from 6pm-7pm.

(Please note that the event is now fully booked.)
