A one-day workshop organised by students, for students. Join us to hear inspiring speakers who will lead discussions on how women have changed, or are changing, the world. Spaces are free but limited – book now to avoid disappointment. The workshop is open to both undergraduates and postgraduates.
Keynote: Jasvinder Sanghera CBE Founder of Karma Nirvana, a national award winning charity that supports people affected by honour based abuse and forced marriages.
Monica Buckland: Conductor and alumna of Newnham College will reflect upon the ‘glass ceiling’.
Dr Gill Sutherland: Historian and Fellow Emerita of Newnham College will talk about the struggle for women’s access to Cambridge University.
There will also be a representative from Borough Belles Women’s Institute, founded in 2009, with the mission of ‘Inspiring women’ forging friendships and sparking passions….& more TBC.
