Dame Carol Black talks about work, love and Newnham on Desert Island Discs

Newnham’s Principal featured on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs on Sunday.

Dame Carol Black is also a special adviser to the Department of Health and Public Health England. She is also Chair of the Board of the Nuffield Trust, the health policy think tank.

She spoke to journalist Kirsty Young about her medical career, becoming the second woman to become President of the Royal College of Physicians, being Head of House at Newnham and why she always advises women to ‘have a go’.
