Biography
Claire Sawford was appointed in March 2020 to project manage the up-coming 150th Anniversary programme. She is a passionate advocate, championing learning and the lively exchange of ideas amongst people from all walks of life, and of all ages. She has devised, delivered and promoted innovative events including art and fashion shows, film festivals, book, film and product launches, lectures, talks and debates at venues as diverse as Trafalgar Square, the Royal Academy, ICA, Cannes, IWM, Church House Westminster, Coronation Street and a wood in Kent. A member of BAFTA, Claire was a consultant to the V&A and Cole & Son, and more recently worked with the Crafts Council, Lund Humphries and the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association. She has been privileged to have collaborated with many women who have ‘dared to be different’.
Claire works three days a week.
